Everyone Loves a Field Trip!
Olek's latest exhibit at Krause GalleryAfter our “Crochet 101″ intro course with Olek, we decided to take a field trip to see her latest exhibit at Krause Gallery. Entitled “Synthetic Nature”, the work revisitd a medium she’s used in the past: balloons. Using thousands of balloons, she crocheted a sort of balloon cave that occupied the entire gallery space.
Walking into the space was a bit like walking into the coolest fort you ever built as a kid– with the added precarious notion that an overly sharpened #2 pencil might bring down the entire structure down at any moment.
